Sign wavers needed: Show your support by waving signs during rush hour at key intersections. Monday 11/1, and Tuesday 11/2.

Sunday 10/24 (Moved from Sat) Big Lit Drop and Volunteer Appreciation Party: The last big lit drop of the year! We are targeting 1,500 pieces to distribute. Meet at 2:30pm at the Campus Office. That evening there will be a volunteer appreciation party at Legend’s, 825 E. Hennepin (appetizers provided). Come for one the other or hopefully both!
If you prefer doing Saturday, we have crews going out at 10am and 1pm Saturday, 10/23 as well.

CAMPUS OFFICE A HUGE SUCESS
From now through the election, the campus office will be staffed from 1pm to 9pm M-F and 10am to 5pm on Saturday!
You never know who will stop by. Tom Emmer and his wife Jacquie stopped in at the office on Friday before the gubernatorial debate. Dan Severson and his wife have made two appearances and Joel Demos and Ole Hovde are regulars.

The 5th Congressional District GOP is opening an office in Stadium Village (15th & Oak St SE above Chipotle) for volunteer activities. Come to the grand opening is Friday, Oct 1, immediately following the Homecoming Parade (food and beverages provided). See below for more about Homecoming.
FUN VOLUNTEER EVENTS
Friday 10/1, 5:30pm: Homecoming Parade volunteers needed.
We will be meeting at the Stadium Village Office on Campus. We are not in the parade but will be walking the route prior. T-shirts will be provided. After, stop by the office for the Grand Opening (food & beverage provided).
Saturday 10/9: Big Lit Drop and Volunteer Appreciation Party!
Need lots of volunteers for a literature drop from 1pm to 4pm. After the lit drop there will be a volunteer appreciation party and bocce tournament at the St. Anthony Village Pub (appetizers provided). Come for one the other or hopefully both!

We need several volunteers to assist with a massive literature drop. We will be meeting at the McDonalds in Dinkytown at 5:00pm. If you can’t make it that early, that’s ok, show up when you can. Please call 612-703-2632 if you want to help. Dinner provided after.

Literature Drop in NE Minneapolis! (lunch provided).
Lawn sign phoning:
Call people to see if they would be interested in a lawn sign. You can do this from home or the 5th Congressional District office.
Coffee Talk or Backyard BBQ:
Invite your friends to meet the candidate by having them over for coffee or hosting a backyard barbeque.

Last week the Barry for Senate team won the St. Anthony Village Fest bocce ball tournament at the Village Pub!
It was great seeing many friends at the Minnesota Organization of Bloggers event at Keegan’s. Thank you to the Barry for Senate “Street Team” for the fun entrance and introduction! Highlight of the night was talking about the impact of the regulations, jobs and the Iron Range economy with basketball legend Kevin McHale!

National Night Out block parties are a great way to meet your friends and neighbors. If you are hosting or attending your neighborhood block party, please let us know! We will be happy to drop off some literature for you to set out for your friends and neighbors. I’ll be out making the rounds to listen to neighbors’ public safety concerns.
